is about discovering and connecting to a part of myself that fills me with passion and purpose. It’s about my personal spiritual journey – a journey of exploration and discovery with a focus on the practice of meditation and journaling.
I developed an interest in meditation after learning about the benefits of Transcendental Meditation (TM). My son had a big interest in TM and wanted to learn how to do it, and I supported him. I wanted to learn, too! There was a lot of chaos in my life at the time, and I needed a way to shut down. I just knew I could learn how to meditate on my own, so I began practicing as often as I could get 20 minutes of quiet time in my home (which wasn’t much at the time). It was difficult, challenging, and frustrating! I simply could not just ‘shut off’ my thoughts and go to a place of nothingness. I could not even relax my body, let alone get my mind to be quiet. Eventually, I let the frustration get the best of me, and just as I was ready to completely give up on the idea of meditation – I began to receive guidance and assistance.
The first guidance I received came in the form of a ‘thought’ that kept coming into my head randomly and would not go away….“write”….”write it down”. I wasn’t quite sure what I was supposed to be writing down? I am by no means a professional writer, but I do like to write (as in the physical act of writing – pen against paper), so I began keeping a journal (journaling). My journaling started just as notes about my meditation experiences or about and the random thoughts or ideas that would pop into my head on occasion. I also began jotting down numbers that seemed to be appearing to me frequently (9:11 was the first).
Well, I am now on book five of my journal and am excited to share what I have discovered, and continue to discover, since I began exploring! (By the way, writing things down helped me clear my thoughts in order to really meditate!)
I hope you enjoy exploring and discovering with me, and reading about my journey – along with the messages, guidance, and lessons being shared with me.
I’m not seeking anyone’s approval. I’m seeking the truth.
